We used to fish across rivers and channels when we were kids. Even as children we pulled our lines in and recast out of courtesy, not too keep them from getting snagged. Even children know.better.

Well I wouldn’t call this a bad experience more of a headache however me and my grandpa had a could on the river young rednecks wanting to fight until he pulled his shotgun out and let off 2 shots right off the bow of their boat I think they sobered up quickly off that piss water and headed on to the ramp 😂

Also, if you can get marine grade anti-freeze that won't harm environment. Use a water drain pump that you can hook up some water muffs and be careful not to go empty to risk burning out impeller. Afterwards drain the anti-freeze by allowing it to drain out by putting motor down. any reidue will not freeze.

I would get a can of compressed air shoot air through the tale tail or were it pees. a leaf blower, hold about a foot away or so from the place where you would hook up the flushing hose to and should see air blowing out bottom lower unit.

You should never crank the boat outboard engine without a water source. The impeller spins 3200 average revolutions. You could risk burning out the impeller in just few seconds.

I have news for you all. You don't own the lake and you aren't renting a spot so people can fish where they want. That being said, it's only proper etiquette and good sportsmanship to give others a respectable distance to maintain good relations.
